Have always enjoyed al Fornos. Food is amazing but always a ridiculous wait. The older bartender was pompous and rude but we enjoyed the younger friendly bartender downstairs that waited on us. Clams Al forno is delectable as well As the pear endive salad and margarita pizza.
Except for the "no reservations" rule , I have nothing but good things to say about AlForno. The wait was originally estimated to be an hour, but after twenty minutes at the bar, we were given a table. The food is top notch and the service very good. All in all ,pricey, but worth it!
Atmosphere perfection. Margarita pizza, shells with four cheese, and fresh baked cookies really more than you could expect in a meal and desert, simply outstanding. Veal and pepperoni pizza less than excellent as the other dishes were.
