In no time at all we were signing paperwork with the business manager Darius Jackson, who was an absolute pleasure to work with. Neal Sheppard of Wild Willie's Custom, who built the truck, even came to give us a tour of the incredible work he did on the truck. Takes forever to get utility trucks worked on. Takes 3 days to put on a part that literally took us 15 minutes even though it was scheduled. Took a week to get tires and an alignment. Only good thing about Akins is free ice cream while they don’t fix your truck.
I called on a Friday to have them order tires for my ram 5500 service truck. I left the truck there Sunday night to get alignment and 6 tires on Monday. Talked to the service writer around 3:30 on Thursday (yes 4 days later) and was told the truck should be ready later that afternoon. I arrive at five to be told they didn’t get to do the alignment and it would be another day. Keep in mind this is 100k service truck that typically makes 1k a day easy for my company sitting at akins for 5 days for just tires and an alignment. ... read more
