I loved Dr Akin. He was a wonderful surgeon. I wish he was still in Jackson for me this go round. He took great care of me. He has a great bedside manner, takes time to listen, and really seems to care.

Dr Akin did a great surgery on my husband. His personality is great, and easy to talk to & I felt very secure with him. He took very good care of us, and his nurses & all employees are also so nice to you. We highly recommend Dr. Akin!!!!
Dr.Akins performed a cervical laminectomy with fusion & a thoracic Laminectomy..I feeling better than I have in years..he was informative & compassionate..excellent follow up care

I would recommend DR Akin to anyone he is a good doctor
He is a good man and very good doctor. I am a physician myself and was terrified when my mom had NPH. She recvd a shunt from Dr Akin and procedure went very well by God's grace. She did have a rocky course post op due to non surgical issue and I was calling on Dr Akin at all times, from ER and he was always very professional and tried his best to direct me in the best clinical direction there was. Now my mom is doing better as she got over the issue that was making her have a tough time.
Excellent Doctor. Cannot say enough good about Dr. Akin. I'm already telling my friends about him. GREAT JOB DOC.
