My husband and I signed our contract for solar panels on 8/13/2022. We were told, & the contract says, they have 180 days to complete the project. However, they said they typically finish in 2-3 months. My solar panels were not turned on until after 2/20/23. It took them over 190 days to finish. Technically, they were in breach of contract. During the process of installation we had so many issues with them. They would schedule people to come out to finish the job, & no one would show up, this happened probably 2-3 times. We'... read more

My solar panels were installed in November but not turned on until January. I was promised to save money on my electric bill and I’ve paid three solar panel bills and have not seen a decrease in my electric bill. I’ve tried numerous times to contact them about the issue and they do not answer or return phone calls.

Business response:

To Whom It may Concern, AgSolar does apologize for any unfortunate mishaps during your experience with us. AgSolar aims to provide the best and most reliable solar services in the Nation. After further reviewing this account, We have found that the customer has only been operating since late December/ early January. During the winter Months, you will more than likely see higher bills because there is less sun, and lots of inclement weather. Furthermore, the system has only been operational for about 2.5 months. My solar panels were installed last fall, and I was told that they would be working before I started making payments. It’s now the end of March 2023, and they are not turned on. So far, I’ve made three payments for aesthetic decorations on my roof when I should be paying for solar panels that are functional. I’ve been promised reimbursement on my first few payments, but I have yet to see any follow through on that front. I keep having people in my community ask if I like my solar panels, and I tell them I don’t know because ... read more

Poor craftsmanship and customer service. Make sure you get the same cad agreement, because when the installation shows up they go straight to installing. They don't use tape measures and just start drilling into roof trying to locate the roof rafters. They say they will go back and patch the holes, but only use silicone. Feel like if they were measuring things first then they would not be fixing so much. A majority only been installing for 1year. They don't seem to care about craftsmanship because of the way they look afterw... read more

7 months later we still do not have solar. We are paying both our ag solar bill and the eletric bill. They don’t call back when they say they will. They lie make excused sent drunk installers. I would be giving them a zero if I could. We were told from the beginning that we would not require a state inspection and now they blame the delay on state inspection that would have been done if the installers had completed the job when they came instead of throwing up all over our yard.

May 2022 started the process. June panels installed. Inspection failed. Payments started in August. This is March still not operational. September inspection failed due to meter boxes and panel placement. Meter boxes moved in DECEMBER and panels still not corrected. I am paying monthly payments and AG has not answered the phone in a month. They got their money and are costing me.

TJ. In Ohio does not communicate he is not experienced or knowledgeable of what his inexperienced installers are doing. Installers dragging out a one day job for months now. Show up at 4 pm and only work an hr or so at a time. TJ calls day before showing up expecting you to be home. Installers damaged new steel roof and AG Solar giving me the run around about who is responsible for damage TJ says damage is expected on every install. Now my new roof has holes in it he wants to patch with silicone. New company not experienced.... read more

I got solar panels around April of last year. When our salesman quoted us, the panels were supposed to be placed under open sky above our living room and garage. When AgSolar installed them, they placed them directly under a tree over our bedrooms. We've only gotten about 1/5th the estimated production in our contract. This clearly falls under the Workmanship Warranty clause of the contract, but they aren't responding. I've been trying to get ahold of them since late August, and the only 2 replies I've gotten were in Novembe... read more

AG Solar, what a disappointment. It has been over six months since the original installation and I still do not have a functioning solar panel system. Despite multiple visits from their employees to exchange equipment, I am still left without a working product. It has been a struggle to get the company to follow through on their promises and provide proper customer service. I have requested phone calls but have only received excuses and apologies, with the blame being shifted onto my electric company. The employees at AG Sol... read more
