Bought a Mazda CX-5 here in 2017, and along with it came the *privilege* of being upsold into a ‘lifetime’ paint and interior protection package by the finance manager—who was clearly more interested in boosting his commission than providing anything useful. Silly us, we thought 'lifetime' meant something. Rookie mistake. Fast forward to now: we try to use the package, only to be told by service manager Alvin Zhang that our claim is denied because we didn't perform a bi-annual inspection.
