I just want to give a big shout-out to the Indian River location where I took Bohannon Protain today. Due to the mandates in place I had high anxiety taking him there because he is terrified of the veterinarian for some reason now. He is a hundred pound lab and it's hard to handle sometimes. I was distraught when I could not go back in the room with him however the ladies were well prepared for him and they did a wonderful job I love the system y'all have in place during this pandemic. This is an awesome service, with not awesome customer service. I brought my service dog in to get her shots and was told I have to be separated from my service aid. I told them she’s my service dog and we can’t be separated she has a job to do. Even with her vest on and paperwork in hand, I was rudely told “Youll have to go somewhere else then” I understand there is a pandemic but there should be exceptions for Service aid and their handlers. I usually take my dog 2 Diamond Springs location but they're closed do to covid-19. so I have to take my dog to the Indian River Road location, and told to wait two hours for my dog to get his shots.
We are military and have always used base veterinarians for our dogs, but with COVID19 it wasn’t an option. Of course our dogs were due for stuff and their appointments with the base were cancelled, but I am so so so grateful for Affordable Veterinary Services! I don’t know what I would have done! They were so kind, helpful and professional! ❤️
