*** never missed one payment on my car loan, when it was stolen I waited for police to try and retrieve it but I had no choice but to file a claim on my insurance to pay it off. The car was found over a month later while I was dealing with insurance they reported late payment against my credit then when they received the pay off balance check affinity federal credit union reported that the car was repossessed.The insurance company then retrieved the vehicle a couple of months later still in good condition I was not able to g... read more

No stars. Do not deal with these con artists. They will steal your property. They will repo your vehicle even if you make your payments and then after they take your vehicle still try to take money from your account. Thieves

I wish I had read reviews before signing my loan, and that's on me. But the lack of customer service is atrocious. You cannot get a hold of anyone via phone, and their message center is a joke. They partnered with the company that I went with for *********** program as the premier provider of student loans and I mistakenly took their referral as a sign that they were actually decent. They have predatory practices and are absolutely horrible.

They make it impossible to use your login to be able to review your your account and make payments. They have a verification process every time you login that requires you to get a code, that is ONLY sent after it expires, so you have to try again. When calling their customer service number for assistance, you then have to provide information that you would not have available, because it is in your account. Wish I would have read some of these reviews before I decided to give them my business. HORRIBLE Credit Union. Poor customer service, and I had extremely similar situations as those who have written before me. My car was repossessed, and then I had personal items stolen and no one wanted to even deal with the situation. They have messed up my bank accounts, my credit cards, every account that I switched over to them has been a nightmare. Steer Clear of this Credit Union!! I had my car refinanced from GM to Affinity. Worse thing I could have done. This credit union has zero concern for the human element. Its is truly all about the all mighty dollar with them. I was part of a layoff on my job in January 2023. When I reached out to them they offered me zero assistance. Never offered to Not charge me any late fees or remove not even one. They sent me a repo letter but thankfully I started working again and have been doing my due diligence to get caught up. The worst bank ever. My car loan was on repo review and I asked them several times ** emai, and the guy told me you have to pay 1.4k to clear the repo. Then I ask them how many days I have so I can avoid the repo. He never responded. At the end they took my car.Funny the same guy that denied my payment deferment is the same guy that started the repo against my car. If you get an offer from this people Don't you ever accept it.

Zero stars. I have had the worst customer service from **********************. I have reached out to the member services several times and they never call back. I've spent MONTHS calling and leaving voicemails with all my contact info, asking for help. They can't process my payments and instead of communicating that info, they ignore my calls and they decide adding fees to the amount of payment required is necessary. What a trap. Absolutely terrible. Wish they had a no star option. I have been receiving letters stating that Affinity has opened a lawsuit against me because I haven't been making any payments. I have email confirmation of all my payments made along with bank statements. The interest rates are at *****%. Ridiculous!! I am getting the run-around with who I need to talk to.
