My grandmother was on hospice care for roughly 6 months and I can honestly say I don’t know what we would have done without Brook. Her kind and sweet disposition, her willingness to always help us, her responsiveness was all just amazing. She explained everything and always kept me and my family up-to-date. Diane is by far the best nurse I have ever met. She was my rock in my mom’s final days. She is compassionate and advocates for her patients like they were her own family. Affinity is lucky to have her. Nurses like Diane are not common and a treasure and asset in end of life care. I know I can trust Diane and that she had my mother’s back every day. This is the first experience I had of hospice and it was awful. When we first signed up we asked if we would receive written updates to the family, such as a text message or email and were told that this would happen. It never did. Two days before our dad died he was exhibiting unusual behavior. I called the hospice and left a message. No one returned my call. I called again and stressed the importance of having someone call back, as I was concerned our dad may be at his final hours. No one called back. We never knew when so... read more
