We had to take our dog of 13 years here in the middle of the night. Her stomach had twisted and we needed to make the decision to put her to sleep. Dr. Barton and his staff were so compassionate. They made a heart wrenching decision much easier on us with their kindness and compassion. We would highly recommend them.

It was Easter Weekend (April 20, 2014). I was driving on Monument Road and saw a lady with her car blocking the lane protecting a senior female which was probably hit by a car, confused, with ears and eyes infected. I was heartbroken and took her to Affiliated Veterinary Emergency Center. I took my chihuahua Sam in this weekend because he seemed to be in a lot of pain. The staff was great, very caring and helpful. My top praise goes to Dr. McKeithen who took the time and who had the careful eye to figure out where the pain was and started us on a treatment. Sam is doing better, not completely out of the woods but if it wasn't for Dr. McKeithen I don't know where we'd be. It was also nice that she's a very pleasant person. Thank you Dr. McKeithen and Affiliated Vet ER. Thank heavens you do what you do.
Professional, well-trained, personable, compassionate — this is a top-notch group of people. The front desk, the techs, Dr. Bayless, and the entire staff are all wonderful at what they do, and Jacksonville is fortunate to have them. No one wants or expects to wind up in an ER with their pet... But if that need ever arises, this is where you want to go.
They saved my cat "doobie" from toxic poisoning. I lovvvvve them!! :-)
