I would never recommend urgent care. My appointment was at 12:47, I wasn’t seen until 1:55, no big deal, I understand they’re busy, however my boss who was exposed with me her appointment was at 11:30 and she wasn’t texted until 3:26 pm to come inside and get tested- where’s the logic? Also it’s been coming up on 4 hours now and no results- not a huge deal- EXCEPT I was guaranteed results in 20 minutes, and nobody will answer the phone after numerous phone calls. So I scheduled an appointment here because I had been directly exposed to a family who were all diagnosed with Covid, I had many of the same symptoms that they had, my Dr told me to go to an urgent care facility right away, so, having been at AFC on multiple occasions, I decided to go there. They have the rapid test for COVID, influenza and strep. They have chest X-ray capability. Very thorough, polite, and professional. Diagnosis was spot on and recommendation to go to the ER for CATSCAN.
AFC is the only urgent care where I got top notch care. When my dr is unavailable I will only go to AFC in Edgewater,Maryland.
