My child was delivered safely and the medical staff was amazing. They kept my wife safe during her c-section. That being said, an out of network provider was used without us being notified during our time there (we have Aetna HMO). This was the hospital pediatrician that does the newborn assessment. There was a lapse of communication on the administrative side and months later was sent a $2000 bill. RecommendedI couldn’t have been more pleased with my experience with antepartum/labor/delivery/mother/baby unit. I had been hospitalized for 5 weeks until the birth of my daughter. The nurses took fantastic care of me and help keep me calm. They treated me with kindness and respect. They never once made me feel like I was a burden and made me feel at ease. RecommendedLoved our experience with the NICU staff while our one twin was transferred there. Everyone was so caring and accommodating. In such a tough situation everyone really showed us their hearts and made us feel comfortable. We’ll forever be grateful for the amazing NICU staff at shady grove. A piece of our heart will always be in that building.
There have been times when I disagreed with a doctor, questioned their clinical judgment or disapproved of their communication skills but I don't think I've ever come across a doctor that I felt was just plain dumb. Then I met Stefanie Gilbert Manuel. This lady presents as incompetent, unaware, lacking, and ignorant. Legitimately the dumbest doctor I have ever met.
