I have been a patient of Florida Hospital Endocrine and Diabetes Center since 2002. They have lost me as a patient forever. I was treated so rudely by their staff. I first was told they would need special permission to see me as I am self pay.( I have been a self pay patient four years ) I guess my money isn't as good as the insurance companies money oh yeah and I have too pay more than 5 times what the insurance company has to pay. I'm trying to pay a balance on a bill sent by Florida Hospital Medical Grp.. Atlanta, Ga. Have called the tel # shown on statement ... 407-200-2711 (Orlando area)... 3 times in the past 2 days! On Monday, 5-16 at 4:50 pm, it rang 2 X then I heard a pick up sound... then dead air. I went to schedule a colonoscopy but no one could tell me if the group was "in network" or not or what the cost would be. I cancelled the colonoscopy but was still charged. The insurance claim was filed incorrectly and eventually I agreed to pay $79 to prevent the bill from being turned over to a collection agency.
