Very uncaring and hard to get appointments. Went through gel injections finally (after they accused me of not calling them back to get my prior auth) and the pain I’m left with in my knee is crippling. Had to go to ED last week and somehow the doctor at LICH had an anti inflammatory and steroid to give me for pain but this office left me hanging with a pain over a 10. Didn’t send me for tests other than their in house xray. Can barely walk at this point and was told after last gel injection I can’t even consider the knee rep... read more
The first time I went to Avanced Orthopedics in 2019 I was very impressed with the medical treatment I received. Now? I'm not sure whats happened... but ever since AO got bought out by NYU its been nothing but frustration after frustration.. My Wife has called twice to check on the status of my pre authorization for my gel injections. with no response I decided to call my insurance, and what do you know they informed me that they never received a authorization request...
I’m sorry to have to write this, very disappointed in this practice. I have been waiting patiently for gel injections after many calls, I never heard a word. I’ve been in extreme pain and they didn’t care. Never had this happen to me so be so be careful.
