Alexis Turbin is one of the best healthcare professionals at Advanced Dermatology. It took me years to find someone who actually listened and was able to help me with my skincare needs. At every appointment she was always kind, energetic and attentive. Each time I felt as if I was catching up with a friend. I visited the office seeking treatment for a separated nail in my left hand. My in-office experience was fine. However, after reading about possible effects of the cream that was prescribed on open angle glaucoma (which I have), I called and left a message inquiring about the safety of using it. A medical assistant returned my call, with this question, "Are you putting it in your eye?" REALLY?

I don't often leave reviews like this, but I've had one of the worst, most protracted experiences with Advanced Dermatology and felt it necessary to let people know. Over the last 5 weeks, I have had 5 appointments cancelled, culminating in today's appointment, for which I showed up to a locked door, because someone forgot to call and tell me it had been cancelled. I reached out to this office for a preventative skin check and confirmed with my insurance beforehand that preventative care would be fully covered.
