Yay!!! – These guys are really honest! I initially took my car to a different mechanic and he told me that it would cost nearly $1,000 to fix my car. I was shocked and I didn't know what to do. I called several other mechanics (based on citysearch reviews) and Advanced Automotive gave me the lowest estimate. They only charged me $250 and they fixed my car very quickly. Sigh of Relief! – I agree--highly possible you will leave with a smile on your face. Or at least laughing from one of Eddie's jokes. I was very pleased by my experience at Advanced Automotive today. They gave me (by far) the cheapest estimate on my power steering hose replacement and told me to go ahead and come in. They fixed my car (power steering and some extras) quickly, while I waited. The waiting area is large and very clean; they even offer free internet, which let me get some work done. My payment wasn't a cent above... read more
Excellent Customer Service – I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience with Advanced Automotive. I was needing a new fuel pump and had called three different places for pricing and to find out when I would be able to get my car back from being worked on. The third place I called, Advanced Automotive not only was their price cheaper than the other two I had talked to, but I was able to get my car back the same day. Outstanding Customer Service – Advanced Automotive's Service Manager not only did an incredibly thorough job of explaining the issues our vehicle was having, he did it in a simple, easy to understand way. As a single mom and very uneducated in the automotive department Eddie took extra time to help me clearly understand the issues and the "fixes". I highly recommend Advanced Automotive to anyone in need of auto repairs and/or maintenance. (Be ready: you may actually leave this auto repair shop with a smile on your face!)
Great auto repair! – Being new to Austin, we had no idea where to take my broken down vehicle. Thankfully this website had high reviews for Advanced Automotive! I wholeheartedly agree with the reviews. These guys are trustworthy and do great work. Not only that, they stayed late on a Friday afternoon just to get our emissions test done on both our vehicles. Darrell is the owner and is here greeting the customers and making sure people are happy. I recommend these guys to anyone looking for a good mechanic.
Excellant customer service – I went to Advance Auto to get some work done on my car. They were very good at telling me what it needed - even did a free maintenance inspection. The guy at the front counter was very friendly, knowlegable and helpful. Some places treat you as though you are stupid, but they took the time to be sure I understood what was going on. They told me they wern't the cheapest place in town, but I have not regretted my choice one bit. I feel like I was very well taken care of.
Stuck its late – I recently had a tire blow out.No one in town had my tire.Advanced Automotive didn't have it either but they loaned me a used tire to get me by.Till we ordered the new one..I have a long trip a head of me.Imagine driving 6 hours on a factory donut not safe.But they were willing to work with me.It was closing time for them but my problem became thier problem. Auto Repair – I was pleased with the staff at Advanced Automotive. They explained fully what work need to be done and one of the mechanics was kind enough to show me the repairs needed. I was really impressed by the professonalizm of this shop. Not only was I pleased with their expertise they repaired my vehicle in one day. Which I was told at the dealer It would take 3 days....
