Rick is definitely not in any hurry to get the job done, he took over 5 weeks to PARTIALLY complete the appraisal he said would be complete in 7 to 10 days. He continuously failed to do what he said he would. All his measurements, diagrams, caculations and information on the appraisal were incorrect. He didn't look anything over thoroughly, nor did he realize the building he was appraising had 2 stories!! Has not completed the job, but has cashed the check. Very very rude, irate & aggressive, when finally getting him on the phone, hung up on me for even calling him to ask where or when the Appraisal report will be sent.

Hired Rick to appraise a home I want to purchase to confirm value. Home is on an unusual property so few comps available. Rick did the work in a timely fashion for a reasonable fee. the results were professional and thorough. Despite seeing some unfortunate previous reviews here, I cant claim to have had any issues at all. Happy with the report and service.

hired Rick Ley owner of advanced appraisals, based out of Saratoga and servicing the albany area. About a month ago he came to my house. I needed a tax appraisal and a value appraisal. I paid him $325 cash for the tax assessment and was to pay another $400 later for the value. He left and told me he'd email an invoice as he didn't have receipts and would have the tax part done in about a week. Well couple weeks go by with nothing so I call just to get an update. Rip off artist and a fraud. He never performed his job in which he was paid for. And I have learned he has a criminal record. Buyer beware.
