The charm of Adelitas was its imperfections. The food was great, margaritas were tasty and the atmosphere "old time" Loveland. There was a reason the place was always packed and often there was an hour wait . It forced people to slow down in a culture of impatience and hustle bustle. I will miss this institution as it is irreplaceable. People who want a generic "chain" experience will be able to find that anywhere.
This is my FAVORITE place to eat. Their Green Chili is the BEST ever!!! Going to miss this place. Thank you for so many years of serving Loveland and your Green Chile is REALLY going to be missed!!!
Adelita's has been a mainstay in Loveland ever since we moved here over 27 years ago. We thought of it as the best "New Mexican" style food we could find around, at least for those of us from New Mexico! Employee turnover has left them short staffed including the kitchen over the last year and Del has decided that it's time to move on. August 19th will be their last day. Sorry to leave a bad review but after eating here many times and having the same experience I feel I must. Yes the margs are good but that is the only positive thing I can say. In the 20 plus times I have come here it has been consistently the worst service I have ever experienced. The food is sub par and the owner always greets you with a scowl and makes you feel like you are trespassing. This place may have history but if someone doesn't show them how to treat customers it will be history!
Went there for dinner with my family. My father was aging and was suffering from some dementia. I actually caught the staff making fun of him!!!!!!!!!! Who does that? The owner and her staff have absolutely NO idea how to treat not only their customers but another human being!!!!! If there was a rating lower than a star I would gone with that one!
They have BY FAR the BEST margaritas in Colorado!! Their food is a solid B+. The service can really be hit or miss. But it's a really fun place to be. I'm here at least twice a month.
Wouldn't serve my 21 year old son who has a military ID. We left without ordering food
