Botched my surgery. Choose the wrong procedure. Three other surgeons indicated that the procedure that Dr. Bakker recommended was a horrible decision based on the initial imaging. I had to have the finger re-broken and put me back 3 months. Additionally and clearly, I told Bakker the finger was going to never heal properly. As it turns out, I was correct and Dr. Bakker wanted to redo the surgery. I felt like Bakker was arrogant and was not willing to listen to me. In the end, I was right and Dr. Bakker never owned up to his... read more

He is the best hand surgeon that you could find. I broke my left wrist completely. He said both bones and put a reinforcing metal played on the larger of the two. My recovery was quick and complete. His staff guided me in all the Care and physical therapy that I needed to gain full mobility and strength. I would recommend them to anyone.

My surgery was on Thursday, 9/20 and my first therapy session was on Monday, 9/24 to take measurements of where my right hand was at that stage. She also gave me a sheet showing the exercise I needed to do for that week. I received a different exercise each week for 8 weeks. My last therapy was on Thursday, 11/15. 3 out of the 4 exercises I exceeded the target goal. The only reason I didn't exceed the 2nd exercise is because that is the one where I put my left hand on top of the right hand that had the surgery and press it ... read more

Dr. Bakker made me feel comfortable from the start. He truly wants the best for his patient and takes the time to explain why and what he is recommending for you to move forward with. His appointments are quick but informing and straight to the point. He will answer ANY question you might have in full detail. I was terrified to have surgery along with getting a plate and screws on my wrist after fracturing it in 3 places. Once he explained the quick recovery time and the process of the surgery along with aftercare I was more... read more

I believe I received the best care possible. Every person I met in the process before, during, and after surgery seemed to be sincerely interested and were knowledgeable about their specific part of the surgey process. They were like clones of Dr. Bakker giving all kinds information about what they were doing and what to expect in the future. They had a protocol book to explain what they were doing as well as telling me exactly what to expect in the very near future. Attitude, personality, expertise, empathy and personality ... read more

Great surgeon and staff! Everything went like clockwork. Complete distal bicep rupture was repaired. I was off prescription meds in three days. Six weeks later and I have full range of motion and starting to lift weights. If you need arm work this is the man!

Wonderful surgeon and staff! I would highly recommend Dr. Bakker to anyone who is in need of his expertise! I had my right thumb UCL surgically repaired in December 2017 and as of April 2018 I am back to full life/work activities and am pain free and have all range of motion back. I cannot thank him and his staff enough for all of their help and encouragement. I would not be where I am today in my recovery without them.
