Acute Rehab Hospital is AMAZING!!! The entire care team works so well together to make sure each patient is cared for and leaves the place feeling stronger. I have to give a special shoutout to Victor Huang, DPT for being extra lovely and always being willing to educate patients (and family) on how/why certain things are part of the therapy program. WOW.... where do I start. I had back surgery at Methodist hospital and the social worker gave me a list of rehab facilities, but commented that she put the best choices first. Acute rehab was the first on the best list. After family discussion we chose Acute. Let me tell you i couldn't be more happier that we did. Acute Rehab is amazing! The entire care team works well together to make sure that every patient feels cared for and supported throughout their recovery. After a total knee replacement, I was told that I would able to go home by that evening or possibly spend the night if I chose. I was physically unable to go home the next day and transported to an outpatient rehabilitation hospital. We selected Acute Rehabilitation Hospital because of it's excellent reputation in Physical Therapy. While in the hospital for two weeks I received extensive Physical Therapy for 3 to 4 hours each day. I was a patient at Acute Rehab Hospital for 10 days, and am now continuing PT (with Victor) as an outpatient. I was greeted and welcomed when I first arrived, and all care-givers were very attentive and caring, especially emphasizing my safety. Even the meals were good! Extra snacks were always available if asked. Therapists are knowledgeable, professional, and personable, and give the feeling that they enjoy their work and seeing each patient’s progress.
