RecommendedAs a contractor who works with many different insurance carriers on storm restoration claims, I’m often frustrated with unreasonable claims adjusting practices, especially from some of the largest carriers. Acuity Insurance has been a breath of fresh air with professional service and communications along with fair practices that result in proper indemnification for their policy holders and timely payments to us the contractor. Thanks for the work you guys do and I’ll continue to recommend you to every client I can.
The company that I work for had a cancelled policy and an audit that was disputed. They lawyer they hired (Kohner Mann & Kailas) (Brian Sullivan Legal Assistant) to bully us into the payment that we were clearly disputing was an absolute jerk! I would NEVER recommend this company! We are a 35 year small business and this is one of the worst companies we have been in connection with! They are big business and could care less about the little guys! BEWARE!!!!!

I was in need of renters insurance and it was such a simple process. it literally took about 5 minutes, and very reasonable quotes.

If you’re ever hit by someone insured by this insurance company. Make sure you wait for the police! And get a police report!!! Even if it’s a minor fender bender. Aside from the horrible customer service who yells and argues with customers. Alana with Acuity did. And believed there insured driver lies!! even when the evidence points out that they were in the wrong. Yield sign present on outer road. Speed was definitely a factor on the other drivers part. I had acuity insurance for over ten years. The one time we received clear hail damage from golf ball sized hail on our asphalt shingles and issued a claim, they refused to cover the damages. Not one dime. I now have to pay out of pocket $23,000 for a new roof because during the spring rains we had water coming in from the side of the roof that was most damaged. A phenomenal carrier for independent agents! They truly care about their agency partners.
The absolute worst business insurance company that I've ever had the dis-pleasure of working with. Agent was not of help either except empty promises and not a good liaison between me and Acuity. I had no claim, but they railroaded me into Worker's Comp classifications that most benefited them without the agent or the auditor asking me which of the 2/3 they should allocate payroll.
