I had an appointment with oak bay optometry, and after a flood there I was called and told I had to reschedule with acorn. I arrived on foot, since my eyes would be dilated, and they told me they had no record of my appointment that day. I had to move a lot of things around to make this time. They should have fit me in as this was their mistake. Disappointed!
I tried to schedule a routine eye exam here as a new patient. I was informed that if I did not provide my PHN ( personal health number ) for them to bill MSP that they would charge me a higher amount for the exam. Considering routine eye exams are not covered by MSP at all this is a bizarre policy that does not make any sense whatsoever. A quick google confirms: "What is not covered by MSP? Routine eye exams for adults between 19 and 64, Cosmetic or elective procedures, and Glasses or contact lenses." So, beware price gougin... read more
I was in Acorn earlier this week for their black Friday sale and I had an exceptional experience shopping for a fun new pair of frames! I was helped by the business's manager Marika who was very upbeat and willing to help me look through tons of different frames to find the perfect ones! Originally a $500 pair, I paid $170! I will definitely be back! Thanks Acorn!
