About this business

You can enjoy one of the city's best sushi menus at Ace Wasabi's Rock n Roll Sushi. What you can expect here is a hearty Japanese meal at an affordable price. The menu sports traditional nigiri sushi, and the special rolls including the Ace Wasabi crab, eel and macadamia nuts, and the Three Amigos with tuna, yellow tail, eel and veggies, which should not be missed. The restaurant is always bustling with Marina locals. The front area of the restaurant is the perfect place to socialize, with a pub-like atmosphere. But if you a... read more

Sushi in the Marina Fun place to go with friends. The sushi is good, but the main reason to go is the scene. Loud music, social crowd, large windows looking out at the sidewalk. We were there on a Monday night and it was packed. I let a friend and experienced Ace patron take care of ordering, and had some creative rolls that I never would have ordered on my own. Try the U2 Roll and the Flying Kamikaze roll. PROS: Packed on a Monday night CONS:

Ace Wasabis Rock N Roll Sushi The big draw here is the sake and the music more so than the sushi. It's a great place to go with a group of friends for a good time, but if you're serious about getting high quality fresh fish there are better options.

Sushi Scene If you are looking for a quiet traditional japonese sushi place.. this is NOT the place for you. Located Smack dab in the center of the Marina off chestnut, Ace Wasabi is always packed and loud. The good news, though, is the sushi is actully pretty good. U2 roll is my favorite! They don't take reservations and the wait can be horrendous, but it you don't mind sitting a the bar (that's what we did) you can avoid the wait.

We tried to make reservations for a party of 14, and was told the kitchen couldnt accommodate that size of party. Ridiculous! Who turns down business?? So bad for large groups! Looking for a new place to go. Thanks

Happy hour – We had the BEST sushi happy hour last Friday night. My friends and I have been going there for a year now and I have to say, I've always had a great experience there. I LOOOVE their Albacore Tuna tataki! Everything else we ordered was great, including the Scorpion roll. I was surprised that it only cost $27 each including tax and tip to fill us up. Everyone there was really nice to us. Our waitress was sweet (we didn't sit at the sushi bar), always smiling and asking us if we needed anything. Atmosphere is casua... read more

Great sushi restaurant – I have lived near this restaurant for years. It is the perfect place to meet up with the girls to catch up over a glass of wine and share some great sushi rolls. And, bingo night may sound cheesy but it is actually really fun. The only bad thing about this place is that it is really small so getting a table can be rough.

How Important is the waiter in your dining experience? – For full commentary please visit: irasciblechef This past Friday we had a new experience--Ugly that couldn't be covered up by the fantastic food, beer, and hot sake. We didn't have to wait to be seated at 7:45PM which seemed odd, but a good thing at the time. But we were seated all-the-way-all-the-way in the back where it was hot and steamy. We did wait for at least 15 minutes before anyone came by to ask if we wanted dinner. Our waiter smelled like smoke and looked a ... read more

Did you know this restaurant is teaming up with StreetSmart4kids? It?s actually really cool what they?re doing. SS4K is a nonprofit organization that helps underprivileged teens stay healthy, and they are running their ?Dine Out and Donate? campaign here (as well as approx. 70 other restaurants in SF) during October and early November. After having a fabulous dining experience, just fill out the donation form when paying (minimum donation $3). It?s a great and easy way to contribute to a worthy cause.
