Serious collectors frequent this establishment weekly as the stock turns over very quickly. If you want to sell some of your albums or CDs, Academy will purchase them for a higher price than most music exchanges in New York.

RecommendedAnother fantastic trip to Academy in NYC. Great selection of rare CDs and LPs and they helped me find a rare 45 MusicMatters Art Blakely Free for All album which puts me just one away from the full set. I’ve been here before not knowing it was Academy Records & CDs and thought it was a great place. Heard about Academy on the VPI FB page and decided to come and visit. I was pleasantly surprised to find out it was the old place I shopped at years ago :-) I’m glad I visited and look forward to coming back again many more times ❤️
