SCAM ARTIST! Dont fall for his lies. First Google "Dr. Hot Tub" and "Gordon Smith". The stories that appear should keep you from using his so-called service in the future. The guy spins lie after lie until he talks you into signing a check. Like many other reviews, this guy is unable to return a phone call (6 to be exact). This is my first review ever except on Angies List. I recently had a pump go out on my hot tub that I use everyday. I have arthritis and need it sometimes a couple of times a day just to be able to get my limbs moving. I had to call them on Sat hoping to get someone out the following week. They came out within a few hours unfortunately bumping another customer and replaced my pump. I am very grateful to that unknown customer and them. Thank you!
Above The Rest Hot Tub & Pool Repair, tech's name is Gordon, is the most unprofessional repair man in business. He came out to our home, took a few minutes to look at the tub, and explained that we needed a new spa pack by balboa. This part would take several days to arrive. He said that he had to have a \$400.00 deposit to order the VS501GS spa pack. Gordon did not call back for several days, when he did call. This is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. We called to get our hot tub repaired. After several excuses and a couple no shows, by Gordon, he finally arrived and attempted to fix the tub. He came out two times and the tub is still unrepaired. They claim they have a 1 year warranty, but appairently that is not true. They offered to refund the money I paid (\$150), but when I tried to take them up on that offer they said it wasnt possible. So it sounded good, but again they deserve a 5 star for unprofession... read more

We are thrilled with the service we received from their two techs, Phil and Gordon. Our heater went out and we called one company that said it would be 4-5 days to come out, so I called them. They were able to schedule us for the next morning. They were about 20 minutes late but did call to say they were running late. They looked neat and professional, even drove a Land Rover as a service vehicle. They showed us the circulation pump was not running hence the reason the heater was not working. This company was called on a Sunday night after our heater was out and the temps were in the 20s. They were so concerned that the tub might be damaged by the low temps that they came out that night around 9pm and made the tub to where it could at least circulate and not be damaged. He had to come back the next day since I had a "funky" heating element. We have never experienced this kind of service, not even from our Lexus dealer.
