About this business

I believe that patients should direct the care that they receive. I am a believer in treating patients as I would a family member or friend. I see my role as an advisor, guiding patients on difficult decisions and rendering opinions that are based on research and expert based opinion (better known as "Evidence Based Practice of Medicine"). I also believe in minimally invasive management of diseases, utilizing endoscopic procedures and advanced, therapeutic endoscopy as a tool when conservative medical management fails. I do ... read more

This physician will tell you he is "ONLY an endoscopic physician, and if interested in treatment for IBD, or anything else, should look elsewhere!" Wish I would have known this prior to seeing this doctor. He never once put a hand on me to examine me in 4 exams, and was always in a hurry to leave the room. He is interested ONLY in doing his colonoscopies. Anything more complicated is beyond his scope of practice, and I would suggest you look to elsewhere. Does not listen to his patient.

I had a large pancreatic pseudo cyst that Dr. Patil explained and performed an endoscopic ultrasound to place a stent for drainage in the most non invasive procedure possible without any complications. An overall awesome experience! Chronic pancreatitis was scary to me, but he put my mind at ease.

Dr. Patil and the full team at the Endoscopy Center at St. Anthony's was very pleasant, knowledgeable and explained my procedure thoroughly. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with the care that I received. Will recommend this doctor and medical facility to friends and family.

Satisfied with treatment, having had previous testing & reports with me @ time of first visit. All items reviewed, tests ordered, done in a timely manner, Dr. Patil was gentle, explained all to me before & after procedure. No complaints from me on this Dr. I have worked with several Doctors & generally have a decent sense of how they are with their patients. I felt secure with the treatment I received. My PCP has voiced no complaints with the treatment or outcome. Thank you Dr. Patil.

I went seeking a second opinion, met Dr. Patil and I was extremely disappointed. He was arrogant, impulsive, inconsiderate, lack compassionate and quick to diagnose without examination. Unfortunately, he's taken the Hippocratic Oath because he's not practicing it. I had great expectations after hearing great things about this practice, I was so DISAPPOINTED and confused, I have an extensive medical history that wasn't considered. In my best opinion, I wouldn't allow him to clip my toenails

Without doing any exam at all and based on no evidence, he announced that was clearly gallbladder pain to other doctors was undoubtedly colon cancer. He said colon cancer or cancer six times in about three minutes. Subsequent colonoscopy showed no cancer. Four months later my gallbladder was removed with immediate relief of all symptoms. That surgery was spectacularly successful. The smartest thing I ever did was flee this doctor and never return.
