What a wonderful surgeon and human being. My wife had life threatening medical issues. In 2011 mesh was put in due to diverticulitis and hernias. In November she was in extreme pain due to 2 fistula caused by the mesh. Only UAB would treat her and Dr. Parmar's team was spectacular. She had 8 plus hour surgery in July and today she is healthy. I can never thank Dr. Parmar and his team enough. They performed a miracle.
My husband recently had three hernias in one area. We consulted with a gastroenterologist surgeon closer to where we live and were told it was “way above his pay grade and at my husbands age (77) he would not recommend the surgery”. Our primary care physician wanted us s to get another opinion from a Dr affiliated with a “tertiary” hospital. I researched various Drs and decided to consult with Dr Parmar. It seemed like all he did was consult with my original surgeon and regurgitate what he has stated from the first time I raised my concerns, now a year and a half from my surgery and Im still in as much, or more pain than I was six weeks from it. My whole faith is shaken in our medical community, they offer no pain management plan or any effective relief from resulting surgery damages and do not even bother to do an in depth physical analysis.
