As part of their renovation plans they chose to give notification at 3:40 on a Friday afternoon that the apartment needed to be vacated the following Monday (finals week) so the apartment could get new flooring and paint. They graciously(?) offered use of a one bedroom for the remaining 1.5 weeks of the lease but key arrangements weren't made until 3pm on Monday.
