I loved the shrimp and corn chowder with red roasted peppers!!
It was my first time there. The line was really long but the wait wasn't bad at all. The line moves fast. I understand it's all fresh seafood. Made to order but the lobster wasn't cleaned out at all. So if you have a weak stomach, the lobster won't be for you. We didn't finish eating our lobster because it had way too much roe/vial left inside. My only request would be to take a few extra minutes and spray that out. Other then that I absolutely loved the place. I'll go back. It's a must try.
My wife had the hot lobster roll with coleslaw. I ate the 11/4 lb lobster dinner with a cup of New England clam chowder. Yummy! Lobster and roll were hot and both meaty. Will go back there to eat. Sat outside to enjoy the sea air and the view. Our party was about last to leave as we enjoyed it so much.
Having just come back from Maine where the lobster rolls are full of large chuncks of lobster was a little disappointing in portion size for the $18. It was very good but doubt I would wait in the long line for it again. The parking was difficult. The atmosphere was great lots of tables no problem finding a place to sit and enjoy the the view.
The food and location cannot get much better then at Abbott's. Great place to meet up with friends and enjoy a growler of beer from one of the area craft breweries with steamers and a lobster roll.
I read a couple of these reviews that were disappointed. I can't explain those who were disappointed in the quality of the food. Even though I haven't been there in at least 20yrs. The food was as delicious as I remembered. My wife and I had the OMG Lobster Roll, both were great. My daughter had the clam chowder, and said it was delicious. My son, not into the seafood scene, had chicken and said it was tasty. Those who were unhappy about the facility and services don't seem to understand the appeal of Abbott's. I ordered their FAMOUS HOT LOBSTER ROLL it was a soggy mess. New England chowder and stuffies not much better. Very disappointed
