We stop by Abbot's every time we are in CT. Lobster is fresh, clams and mussels, too. Great view of the harbor, truly a classic New England seafood shack worth visiting at least once!
The view of the boats on the salt water is so serine. I had the lobster and mussels and they were amazing! Best lobster I've ever had and right on the water. I highly recommend. I'm definitely going back.
Get place, good food and great views!! Remember it is BYOB and bring bug spray.
Food was delicious, but cold lobster roll was VERY SMALL & other items were also OVER PRICED .
I loved it here. Looking at all the sailboats in the harbour while eating the best lobster I have had in years. People were super friendly.
I think this place has a great location, don't get me wrong. But $24.95 for a lobster roll in a regular size hot dog roll, with coleslaw and a bag of chips? In a place where you order at the counter, sit at a picnic table, and have no access to alcohol of any kind unless you bring your own. Are you freakin kidding me??!! I'll never go back. Once is enough to be ripped off !!!
My wife and I started going here 21 years ago just after we were married and have not missed a visit annually since. It's a fun place to go. Food is always very good ( Hot lobster roll is lacking though). BYOB, a table cloth and maybe some candles will round out a great meal.
