How truly sad for the nurses from the night shift coming out this morning... A lot of the nurses at Abbott have been there for many years and are truly afraid for their patients and if they will be safe. I heard there were 7 un-licensed nurses, and 2 nurses in the ICU that didn't know how to care for their patients!!! REALLY!!! What is wrong with you Allina? How can you keep saying the strike is not interrupting patient care and all will be well??? The MN Dept. of Health should be on each and every floor in all of the Allina... read more

These nurses (at the ER section that check you in and triage you) are rude!!!! They treat minorities like crap! They used be better than this. ZERO stars for them!

My wife was a nurse and I have two granddaughters that are nurses- thankfully not for your hospital. I read about what you are doing to their insurance and even looked at the plans you were offering, as someone kindly shared them online. I support these nurses. They deserve better. If I need any medical care anytime soon, I won't be using your hospital.

I have seen the insurance plans you are offering your nurses. I have many friends that are nurses and this is insulting to them. I don't work in healthcare and my insurance is better than this. I refuse to support greed. You will lose my business and my husband's as well.

The nurses are incredible... Too bad the most compassionate caring resource this hospital has is forced to a strike vote so that the corporate level can increase their wealth by back door deals to pad already overpaid pockets. When a CEO is on the board of a company Allina has a HUGE stake in.... Something stinks.

I should have listened to the nurses that told my husband to wait to have his surgery. Out doctor said care would be good during the strike. It was not. The nurse never told Rob he couldn't eat and got upset when he ate a muffin. She huffed and puffed when we used the help button. I don't know if this is how they treat patients in the South but isn't here

Why did I hear that your nurses are going on strike from my mom's group on Facebook and not from my doctor or your hospital directly? It is a big deal you will have random nurses working in labor and delivery. I had a right to know this. and I can see the same response you send everyone and it doesn't answer any questions. I want someone to address this NOW.

Everyone planning to visit an Allina hospital in June or July should look to go elsewhere. The nurses and will be striking. The last time there was a strike at Abbott, it lasted one day, and there were 7 code blues called in am 8 hour period. For comparison, if we have more than 2 it is unusual. And considering the hospital had emptied out its sickest patients preparation for the strike and was operating with a record low number of patients this isn't a concidence. Not safe, dont go here until the strike is over. Comments fr... read more

This place is part of a health care system that is trying to recruit nurses to work during a strike. I am a traveling nurse and they are offering the worst pay I have ever been offered. It's insulting. They also are pressuring temporary nurses to work in areas they aren't comfortable. No wonder your own nurses don't want to work for you.
