My last dentist was such a bad experience that the thought of going in again made me sick to my stomach and my heart race. I did not go back for way to long. Last week I had a dental emergency and called Ava Dental in Upland. It was after hours and I thought I would be leaving a message for the next day but they picked up. Noelia understood my fear and her kindness and compassion took most of the knots out of my stomach as we made an appointment for the next day. When I got there she greeted me by name, made me feel welcome and let me know Dr. Chen was aware of my past dentist experience and this was going to be different. Hazel was my technician and she got me ready, took x-rays and was not only excellent at her job but her kindness and compassion worked wonders for this dental chicken. Dr. Chen was, WOW! Not only did he not judge for the long dental neglect but came up with options and presented solutions. The work was done right then. There was no pain, no swelling, no bruising and I am amazed. They worked with my insurance to find a way to make it not only manageable but affordable. I don't think anyone looks forward to a dental treatment but I will look forward to seeing them all again to keep moving forward on our plan and I am no longer afraid.

Today, stepped outside of my comfort zone and chose this Aava dental office after twenty one years in another dental office to be closer to where I currently live in Upland. My choice of Dentist (Dr Chen) was the right choice and the level of care was way more than expected for my first visit. Immediately, they attended to X-rays, cleaning and critical care of teeth finding four broken teeth which I was not aware of. Before service, they consulted with my insurance company to understand coverage and if there were any out-of-pocket cost for me to render critical services today. This goes above and beyond what I had anticipated on my first visit! They work with you every step of the way and work for the Patient! If you are looking for a great Dentist and Staff, I suggest you call and schedule an appointment immediately. Outstanding service!!!
