A standout AAA Members’ favorite destination is the delightful coastal village of Carmel-by-the-Sea. Here, you can stroll along cobblestone streets to peek at perfectly preserved fairytale cottages and pop into numerous art galleries filled with local artists’ craft. Or, you can while away the day on the soft sandy beach, watching the sky work its magic—like this serene moment captured on Instagram by @brukdahl. Little: Trinidad, in Humboldt County, is one of the smallest incorporated cities in California, with just 367 residents. Big: The massive rocks, or sea stacks, just off Trinidad's shore are part of the California Coast National Monument.
