RecommendedI had an amazing hike and stay at LeConte Lodge thanks to Jaimie and Caroline. They made the most of our short time together by sharing their knowledge of the area and experiences with us. Jaimie made sure we witnessed a beautiful sunset and caught an amazing sunrise. Bonus: Caroline shared her experiences on the AT with us and I am truly in awe of her. Both are confident, responsible and knowlegable guides and I will be planning future adventures with AWITW and hopefully with Jaimie and Caroline!.
We had the pleasure of taking the "You're Barking up the Right Tree.....Learning the Basics of Tree Identification" class with a guide named Bryce, an extremely knowledgeable and personable, 18 year old. Despite the fact that we were 20 minutes late, Bryce took us for a leisurely walk down a beautiful trail we would never have known existed. Would definitely recommend this company, had to exit our hike early at newfound gap and they just so happened to be there dropping other hikers off and pushed back his other appointment to drive us back to Fontana dam! Great service 5 star!!!
Our children are 7 and 10. We took the child-focused tour and loved it!! You won't be disappointed.

A Walk in the Woods was just what our troop needed to learn about the Smokies and earn our Hiker Badge. Both children and adults had a blast! The guides are welcoming and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend A Walk in the Woods!
