I truly feel stupid, on Jan. 27, 2012 I went into A Simple Divorce, I paid 400.00 for a dissolution of marriage, I am not able to pay for help again, John Steelman told me he would have my ex husband served personally, and to my knowledge he hasn't been served...A month or so ago the ex husband was out at male minimum (Lerdo) I notified John because he said that so could serve him if he was in custody, I left a message telling John the ex husband was indeed in custody, it has been several months since I have personally talke... read more
A Simple Divorce is under new ownership. The new owner is very knowledgable, helpful and attentative to my questions. He has a lot of legal experience and is an all around nice person. He knows what he is doing and is fair on his pricing. He seems to be trying to straighten out anything that the previous owner may have left hanging, so if you are in that situtation, give him a break and be patient. You'll be happy you did.
I contacted A Simple Divorce in February of 2010 to process my divorce; it is now August of 2011 and the service has yet to be finalized. Throughout this entire process I have had to go above and beyond what a paying consumer should when hiring an individual, in this case Jon Steelman of A Simple Divorce. Mr. Steelman was incapable of serving the papers to my ex-wife and after "numerous attempts" on his part I had enlist the help of a friend to go to her work and serve the papers to her (July 2010). Honestly I would not give this outfit any stars. He was paid in advance and did nothing. This man has cost me precious time, and I am now limited on visits with my son because I was served with a process and failed to respond.
