Dr Amal Abou-Hamden is an incredible doctor. She has a wonderful bedside manner, she is kind, she is caring, she is incredibly selfless. She saved my mums life. If it wasn't for her, mum would not be here today. All of the office staff are wonderful and so helpful. Melina in particular, has taken so many of my phone calls where I have been in tears and completely calmed me down. I would recommend Dr Amal to anybody, and we support her all the way. Thank you Amal for all your help. You are our family's angel.
Associate Professor Dr Amal Abou-Hamden saved my life!! Literally!! The lesion on my brain turned out to be a Glioblastoma (GBM which is always a grade 4). If Dr Amal had not agreed to perform the biopsy at the time and we had waited the 2-3 months, I don't think I would be here now writing this. She not only did an amazing job removing the GBM, she also advocated on my behalf and gave me hugs and reassurance. Amal is the coolest person I know. She performed surgery on my mother who had a GMB4 in 2018 - It brought her another 2 years of life. Doesn't stop there...in 2021 my wife was diagnosed with an ultra rare tumour attached to her brain stem. Amal performed this delicate surgery as well, my wife is absolutely fine now. Thankyou Amal.
Brilliant. For 12 years I had a twitch in my left eye)cheek. GP's had consistently suggested magnesium. Within 5 of reviews my MRI for an aneurysm, she identified the issue and organised a referral to a neurologist that specialises in Botox for such situation. She was patient, eloquent and was happy to explain the pros and cons of surgery and no invasive action. I can't recommend highly enough.
A/Prof Abou-Hamden is an absolutely amazing Neurosurgeon and woman. I highly recommend her. Dedicated, very passionate and nurturing. Every level of advice was given to me to help make a decision including all the positives and negatives. Amal is an amazing listener and responds from all different views and the pros and cons.
