Once a year we come to Hilton Head and this is on our list of must visit restaurants. I love the crab cakes, my husband loves the shrimp and grits, and we both love the creamy grits.
Wonderful!!!! The banana pudding was beyond amazing!

This place is awesome, Cookie was our waitress and she started a great lunch. Everything we had was very very good. I personally had the Shrimp and Grits and oh man what a flavor bomb....so good. The deserts were a hit as well....my favorite was the bread pudding. We definitely recommend!
Hands down the best shrimp and grits I have ever tasted (and I went to culinary school in Charleston-home of some fine shrimp and grits.) This Place is a MUST eat at place if you live in or are visiting Hilton Head. I am just sorry I did not discover it until my last day of vacation! I can’t wait to come back here next year!
The Backyard Restaurant has a large patio, enclosed, and with a colorful beach theme! The atmosphere is relaxed! The food (crab cakes, upscale salads and sandwiches) and desserts are outstanding! "Better than homemade" is the best way to describe this treasure of a place! Search for this hidden gem on Hilton Head Island!
I have been eating here for the past 5 years... when I vacation here...I am foodie and I listen to what people are ordering and always ask favorites to everyone around me...everything I have has been absolutely great..fried green tomatos..tomato sandwhich..pimento cheese on anything..burgers...shrimp and grits..yum
