Helped my son My son’s addiction started using heroin when he was 19. He had started dating a girl and unbeknownst to him was using heroin. When they first got together she wasn’t using daily but, she was doing heroin at times and she’s the person who gave my son heroin at first. I know it isn’t her fault completely. I know that my son was a total idiot when he took it but, I do wish he’d never be put in a position of saying yes or no to something as dangerous as heroin. When my son got to where he was using multiple times a... read more

Best Rehab When our daughter needed help with an addiction to methamphetamine we sent her to A Forever Recovery. She’s been to AFR twice now. The first time was 14 months ago. She did good for 6 months but, 8 months ago she relapsed and we sent her back to AFR. Now, I wish she hadn’t needed it but, there wasn’t ever any question of sending anywhere else. My husband and I were stunned when she told us that she was addicted to meth and that she needed help. When she told us how she became addicted to meth we were even more sho... read more

Really Good Program I went to A Forever Recovery for an addiction to prescription medication. My addiction started slowly 5 years ago. I’ve had bad headaches most of my life and usually I’ve just dealt with them as best as I was able. 5 years ago, I had never taken anything stronger than an Advil for a headache, though it didn’t help much. There was a day when I was with my sister and I had a bad headache come on. She offered a Vicodin to help and I took it. I just wanted the pain to stop and the Vicodin did help. After that... read more

AFR Helped Me When my parents told me that I was going to rehab I was shocked and super irritated. I wasn’t addicted to anything. I wasn’t using drugs every day or even close to every day. In the 2 months prior to them sending me to rehab I had used meth a few times. Sometimes once or twice a week. Twice I used for a weekend. That was it though and I wouldn’t have even considered myself addicted to anything. I definitely wasn’t some hardcore junkie. My parents found some meth in a bag of mine and that was it. They decided I ... read more

My son I’m incredibly pleased with how well A Forever Recovery handled helping my son. He was addicted to heroin and crack cocaine and had been for many years. For all those years we’ve tried to help him but it never worked. He would either refuse to go to treatment or if he did agree to go he wouldn’t do anything to help himself while he was there. The thing that finally convinced my son to get help was his best friend overdosing in front of him. It scared him as it should have. He finally agreed to get help and to really t... read more

Saved my life A Forever Recovery is an incredible rehab facility. I’ve been to quite a few different rehabs and AFR helped me more than all the other rehabs I’ve been to combined. Everything about AFR from the moment you get there to when you graduate is great. Going through detox is hard. It doesn’t matter where you go through detox, it’s going to suck. Going through detox at AFR wasn’t nearly as rough as I was used to and the staff there worked really hard to make sure that everyone is detox was as comfortable as possible ... read more

My daughter went to AFR My daughter completed her program at A Forever Recovery 6 months ago. Since going there her life has been so much better. Her drug use started when she was 16. She started smoking pot and I didn’t think much of it besides how it affected her school work. I didn’t like the friends she was hanging out with but my husband and I both thought it was something she’d grow out of. We had both smoked pot when we were younger and we grew out of it. That wasn’t the case with her though. She started using harder ... read more

AFR was great for my brother My brother went to A Forever Recovery last and he’s been doing amazing since then. My brother started using heroin 10 years ago and the whole thing has been really h@!%!*n the rest of our family. He’s always been able to manipulate our mom into giving him whatever he wanted or for forgiving him whatever he’s done wrong. Even as a kid he got away with just about everything because he talked his way out of it. For the last 3 years the only one in our family who’d talk to him has been our mom. 3 yea... read more

Great Place, Great Program My heroin addiction started 9 years ago. My best friend had started using it 6 months earlier and I decided to try it. It was the dumbest thing I’ve ever done because I loved it. I loved the way it made me feel and it didn’t take long for me to become completely addicted. I started trying to get sober 4 years ago. My best friend of 20 years died after overdosing. Her dying really threw me, it made me realize that while I had known that dying from an overdose was possible, I didn’t really think that... read more
