AFR saved my son The first time I came across A Forever Recovery was at least 7 years ago. I was looking for a place to send my son and it looked like it’d be a good place for him. Then I started reading some of the things said about A Forever Recovery and I changed my mind. There were far too many times that I read that AFR was more or less a recruitment center for a cult, and I had no interest in sending my son to a place like that. My son spent the next 6 years in and out of rehab and every time I started looking for a ne... read more

AFR saved my daughter If my daughter hadn’t gone to A Forever Recovery for treatment, I don’t know where she’d be or what she’d be doing. When my husband and I started looking into rehabs for our daughter, we knew she wasn’t ready to get help. We couldn’t do nothing though so, we started looking into treatment for her. When we first spoke with the intake counselor at AFR we told him that we didn’t know when, if ever she’d agree to get treatment. The intake counselor was really great though. He was willing to talk to my husba... read more

Amazing Program When I went to A Forever Recovery, I was ready to start a new life. I was completely ready to stop doing drugs. When I got to AFR I was this weird mix of being hopeful yet, jaded. More than anything, I wanted to get off drugs but, I wasn’t convinced it was something that I could really do. Just the fact that I really did want to get clean helped me while I was there. AFR was the first rehab I’d gone to that I actually wanted to work. Because of that, I was more receptive to doing the program and doing the wor... read more

Was a great place for my daughter When I sent my daughter to A Forever Recovery, I was hoping that it was as good as I had read about. I prayed that this rehab would be the one to change thing for my daughter. A Forever Recovery turned out to be everything I could have hoped for. My daughter started using heroin 10 years ago. When she started using, things got bad so much faster than I could have anticipated. It doesn’t take very long to become addicted to opiates and I saw that firsthand with her. For the last 10 years my e... read more

Great Place My parents talked me into going to A Forever Recovery 8 months ago. I thought it was going to be awful, thought it would just be another rehab in a long line of rehabs that didn’t work. I couldn’t have been more wrong. I’ve gone to my parents a lot over the years when I needed help and it’s always amazed me that no matter how much I put them through they’ve always stuck by me and supported me. Every time I asked for help, they helped me get into treatment. Since I started using I’ve been trying to get sober and s... read more

I love being sober I’d been using heroin for 9 years when my dad had his heart attack 5 years ago. He survived it and when I went to visit him in the hospital after his surgery he begged me to get help. He told me that he didn’t want to watch me die and that he didn’t want to die before he knew that I was sober and would be okay. That’s when I started caring about myself more and started wanting to get sober. His heart attack also made me realize that I didn’t have forever to fix things with my dad and if I wanted a relation... read more

2 years of sobriety The other day I was speaking with my aftercare specialist from A Forever Recovery and she asked if I’d write a few reviews for them because of the success I’ve had since being there. It’s because I went to AFR that I’ve been sober for 2 years so of course I agreed. I’ve had 2 years now without any lapses in my sobriety. 2 years of having control over my life and 2 years without hurting or disappointing my loved ones. I can’t even begin to describe how incredible that feels or how grateful I am to AFR. Whe... read more

My brother went to AFR My brother was addicted to cocaine for almost 10 years but, in the past 2 and a half years that addiction had gotten really bad. So much so that 2 years ago he ended up in jail. What changed was he went from being a person who binged on cocaine on the weekend to a person who was using cocaine all day, every day. For the 8 years prior because he mostly only used on the weekend or holidays his job didn’t suffer. Every cent he had wasn’t going towards his addiction so he was able to keep some semblance of... read more

SMART Recovery I went to A Forever Recovery because they offer the SMART Recovery program. They do have offer programs they offer but, I went for the SMART program. I’ve been through rehabs programs before and the SMART program was a program I hadn’t done before. I had hoped it would help me more then the other programs I’ve done and my parents agreed with me so they helped me get to AFR. Going through the SMART program was great. It was hard, the hardest program I’ve done but, it was great. There isn’t the view that once yo... read more
