This is my 3rd time taking my cars to Trans 1 and working with James. This experience was just as good as the rest. My car broke down in Paso Robles, CA and the transmission repair shop in Paso quote me a $6000 repair quote to my surprise. The transmission was totally gone. I called James hoping to get some advice and he provided me a few options that would be less money based on how long I planned to keep the car. I want to given this place a good review, not just the fair price but for the excellent customer service. James is the man. Checked for some transmission problem and they did find out that my transmission fluids were pretty burnt, so I gave them the go ahead to replace it all. I drove off the lot with still the same problem I originally came into for, but not sure if we had to go deeper into the transmission. No deposits no signs of cracking from what they can see. This is my second visit to Trans 1 for a transmission issue. This time my 2004 Cadillac SRX was making a clanking noise when I shifted. I called James who helped me before. He was very friendly and helpful as my last visit. In fact he even remembered I brought in a 73 corvette the last time. I made an appointment for Saturday because he is very busy during the week. I'm so glad I found this place. This shop was recommended by a tire shop I frequent in Torrance. I look them up in Yelp to see how the reviews are before going. I met James which I believe is the owner and he is an extremely nice guy. My 73 corvette had a transmission issue with not shifting. Went to the location not knowing what to expect. After, visiting several places. James was very straight forward on the diagnosis no BS. Transmission wasn't an issue. He offered great customer service, prices were great compare to other shops. He offer to follow up in a week just to make sure everything goes well. I would recommend him to anyone. They ROCK. :) amazing experience! !!!

So my husband and I are driving on the freeway to go to a concert in LA today and he goes to adjust the rear view mirror in our car and it literally pops off from the windshield. So, I had my car dropped off here a week ago because it was not working properly and it turns out the transmission needed to be rebuilt. I'm thankful they accept credit cards because it was kind of pricey (for me) but I assumed this was the average costs of getting transmission repairs. Anyways, most importantly, my Acura TL is running smoothly again (YAY!) and I will be back to get a check up with James (service manager) in two weeks. Dropped off my f150, transmission slipping like a foot on a banana peel. Spoke with them, he described and explained everything they were going to do to diagnose and repair the problem. Two and a half days later I got my truck back and it's running perfectly. That was a quick turnaround for a complete rebuild. Reasonably priced and very professional. I highly recommend.
