Do not rent from Lee Gross or A1. I had a signed lease and a deposit to them. I noticed mold and asked to speak about it, I called them several times. Then the night before move in I got an email saying I wasnâ??t moving in and my deposit was being sent back. During a global pandemic. Run.

I had been renting one of Lee's places for three years, and enjoyed all three of them. Lee is very understanding and prompt to send maintenance to fix and issues. The place itself was a lot nicer than much of what you would expect to find in a college area for a price similar to other places. Overall my experience with A1 Realty was a good one.

I've had my share of good and bad apartments and landlords. Lee is definitely one of the best. Every time there was a problem from a broken lightbulb to a clogged drain Lee would send someone the next day to fix it (and his repair guys are also so nice/courteous). I never had problems with my rent, and he is very lenient and understanding. When I moved to Pittsburgh, my first apartment was A1 Realty and I renewed it a second time because of how awesome the location, price, Lee, and set up was. This tenant was late in paying rent 4 out of 12 months and paid below their monthly rent 3 out of 12 months. We only charged them a late fee twice, when we could have charged them for 7. It is clearly stated in the lease that the security deposit cannot be used at last months rent, so when we contact the tenant on July 20th, which is the last date rent is due before a late fee could be applied, the tenant replied back stating rent was mailed on July 19th. I have been a tenant at the same apartment in N. Oakland for two years, renewed for a third now. I have not had any problems with Lee or the management. Things that need to be repaired have always been promptly fixed or replaced. For a property that caters to students and young persons, the property is a lot nicer, larger, and more unique than the other properties you find in the area.

Extremely unfriendly,rude and abnoxious.the management is very unfriendly and hounds you threatening to litigate if you delay payment even a few days.The rat holes they call apts are filthy ,smelly and overly priced at 1k for a two bedroom . They prey on students.beware.

Super cute apartments – I lived in one of the apartments on Butler St for two years. I absolutely loved it. Rent was totally reasonable and Lee always made sure any issues I had were addressed. He's a flexible and nice guy, as is Will. I miss living there. He has lots of great places all around Lawrenceville so if you have a chance to rent one, snatch it up. He'll take care of you and you'll be in a hot spot. All your friends will be way jealous.

Exceptional – I have rented from A1 Reality for 2 1/2 years and they have been exceptional! Lee Gross, the owner, has consistantly responded to any needs we have had. He has been flexable and fair. Of all the persons that we have rented from, he is by far the best!
