I lived there in 1977. I wonder what the rent is now. I was 17. Fresh out of high school. Great memories. Used to walk to Webb's pool hall on 5th Street.
This apartment complex is excellent. Simple amenities and a great location in Austin. Dream spot to live. The management and maintenance crews are helpful, timely and understanding. I enjoyed my time at 1616 thoroughly!
My experience living here was very good! The apartment is a little older but i think the location and cost make it worth it. Very walkable area with a handful of bars, restaurants, and coffee shops that are close by. Alex and Chris in the front office are great and the maintenance team was solid whenever something needed to be fixed. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a central location.
Never lived here. Never been to Austin. But there's a collection account in my credit from these people insisting I owe them money. How is that possible if I've never been south of Corinth? Beware.
Everything is great and no negative surprises except the dryer machines suck. Clothes come out damp. It’s just one of those inconveniences that annoys you especially when you’re paying for both washer and dryer each time. Would be nice if they could extend the time by 15-25mins to ensure a normal load of laundry comes out dry and not damp. Could run it twice, but already paying for it, so would like to get what I pay for.
