I was a cabaret artist for almost a decade in New York and we have lost many of our fine cabaret venues over the years. 54 Below is a beautiful space, with fine acoustics and lighting and wonderful talent appears there. Downside: it's just too bloody expensive. Covers are high, and then tack on a $25 food and drink minimum and it becomes prohibitive, especially for members of the show business community, who have always been a mainstay of the cabaret audience. I've been here three times. Twice to see Marilyn Maye and once for the When Pigs Fly event. Not a bad seat in the place. Good food, good service, and great shows!
What a fun night! No bad seat in the house. Intimate show with great drink specials and menu. The show was incredible!
What a great place!! This was my first time here. I came with three friends to see Tony Danza. The show was wonderful. The place is really beautiful and the food was great. The staff was also amazing. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. I will definitely go back.
The setting is wonderfully intimate, the waitstaff was warm and charming, and the food was great. I've been there before, and I'll definitely be back!
