Do not live here. There are 4 elevators and 2 work consistently. They will tell you why but who really cares if you can't get home. Carpets in hallways are filthy (of course they will tell you they are replacing them). Gym is nice but they separate the gym charge but make it mandatory to make the rent seem lower. With all the new buildings going up and the fee on rentals dissappearing; you do NOT want to live here.
As a guest, I've always enjoyed visiting my friends who live in this building. However, I've personally seen the low elevator availability problem that others report. Used the gym when I visited in June, and it was okay. The pool was closed at 11am because the lifeguard wasn't on duty. As with any other NYC apartment, the space isn't huge. Expect at least 2-3 elevators are broken every day throughout the year, especially during the summer. It is a serious hazard and a serious waste of time. Expect to wait 10-15 minutes for an elevator every day during peak hours. Not worth being raised 15-20% on rent if there's such a lack of priority for the safety of the tenants. Negative experience with management team attempting to get info over the phone as a potential resident. Unfortunate for the building owner/profits if this were a consistent issue.
Avoid moving here. Rude management and staff working in this building. Only 1-2 elevators are working since October of last year (2024). For the money you paying for rent you get Zero satisfaction. There are a lot of options in LIC. Don't lease here.
