About this business
In 1983, the lat Karn Voss reopened Karen's Beauty Shop. At the time her daughter-in-law, Jackie was attending Cosmetology school. Upon graduation in April 1983, Jackie joined Karen in her shop. After 5 years of working together, Jackie took over the business and "the Hair Co." was born. In Januaray 2004 Jackie's daughter, Jodi began cosmetology school. Upon graduation Jodi joined her mom in their new salon, 3rd Generation. Today, the girls at 3rd Generation enjoy working together like family, helping one another.

First time there! My mom wanted to have her hair washed & the owner was absolutely fantastic! Such a home town feel and so friendly/accommodating! Now my mom knows where she can go once I head home!

Their hairstylist Sandy did my hair wonderfully!! Now I know where I'll go every month to get my hair done & exactly how!! And I will tell all of my friends & family about 3rd Generation & Sandy & what a wonderful job that they do, I even saw a couple of women go in there & they looked incredible when the girls were done with them!!
I walked into the salon beyond upset, with hair that had been ruined from a previous stylist. Because of the wonderful Jodi, I walked out with beautiful red, healthy hair, with a cut I love, good products to maintain it, & I honestly feel SO much better about it. I couldn’t be happier or more thankful. 3rd Generation is a wonderful environment, & all the ladies there are so great & friendly. I’ll definitely be coming back in the future & I highly recommend it to anyone needing help with their hair needs!
Jodi did such an amazing job on my hair!! I absolutely love it. It’s an amazing place all around and would recommend Jodi 10/10 😁😁 you feel comfortable and everyone is nice.
The salon is friendly and comfortable. Jodi Rutz does an amazing job! My hair is tricky to color, but she gets it perfect every time! I even had a family member that didn't know I colored my hair say that it isn't noticable because it is so consistent. Client for life!
AMAZING!!!! Jodi is great at what she does and very friendly!!! Have definitely found my new stylist and salon and will be coming back.
