I lived at 3801 Connecticut Ave for one year and took very good care of the apartment. I cleaned thoroughly before moving out and left the unit in decent condition. Despite that, the building kept my entire $500 security deposit plus interest and charged me for multiple “damages” and cleaning fees, including flooring, shower, and kitchen cleaning, including a $75 oven damage fee although I have only used it once. I lived here for 4 years and highly recommend! The building is well-maintained and maintenance staff are quick to fix issues - always within a business day for non-emergencies, and much quicker for emergencies. Once my AC stopped working on a Friday evening after business hours before what was going to be a very hot weekend and they had someone come fix it that night. The front desk and leasing office staff are all very helpful and kind. Before a job change made me leave the area, I had no plans to move!
