In the hip and green Dilworth area, 300 East stands out amongst the other eateries. Serving up eclectic and traditional American cuisine, it is a neighborhood favorite. Try out the Mongolian Lamb Chops, Thai Pork Tenderloin, and Penne with Duck for lunch or dinner, followed by a mouth-watering dessert. First I call to make a reservation and the hostess tells me I can't because they have a wait. So I still show up with no reservation and guess who gets seated first...the people who made reservations. Second I ordered the eggs Benedict and they were OK, my husband ordered the scrambled eggs and had to put salt and pepper in them because nothing was seasoned. Finally the peach Bellini tasted like they poured old orange juice into some cheap wine. Next time I will just stick with my first plan and get my brunch from Pikes.
Food was decent. Our server was nice, however the hostess was very rude. There is definitely an opportunity to further develop her customer service skills. Not customer focused at all.
First time there, service was great, my dinner was over the top! I loved this place!
