Favorite Place in Boston – As a frequent visitor to Boston, 28 Degrees is a great stop and at the top of my list. With a great space that has a total NY vibe, I love the great drinks- (the melon and key lime martinis are exceptional), great food and weekend entertainment. This place has just the right mix of cool and comfortable. Boston needs more places like this.

Just OK – This place was just ok. The location is not great & the food menu looked boring. Drinks were good but kind of expensive. I went on a Thurs night with a friend. We sat at the bar & had 3 martini's each. We got bored & left. This might be more of a date place. They have a large dining area off to the side if you want to be romantic with somebody or come with a large group. The bathroom was very cool tho. Unisex.

Great place!!! – I met friends here and we were all impressed. The drinks were wonderful... I had the frozen bellini and the key lime pie martini - excellent!!!!!!! (and strong). We easily found a spot at the bar and the bar tenders were extremely attentive, refilling our non alcoholic drinks as soon as they were low. We odered the toasted prosciutto and cheese sandwish on rosemary foccaccia to share, and it was SO WONDERFUL we had to order another. Regardless of what others said, our food came out within 10 minutes. We real... read more

NO WAY – It is a shame for Boston that this place calls itself a Restaurant. Though trendy and georgeous, I would never recommend this place to anyone seroius about food. Every dish on the menu has been done elsewhere, and often better. Same with the wine. Trying to get a full meal is a joke - while I (honestly) do like the concept of "shared plates", it is ridiculous to be given a basket of fries for a table of 4, then a (small) plate of ribs half hour later, than a (small) plate of something else half an hour after that...... read more

frozen bellinis! – Been to 28 for Sunday, Bellini Sunday three times now, and am flabbergasted by the entire night! Dollar oysters from 5-7 every night of the week, it seems. And something called a Bloody Bellini, which is a frozen one with Chambord. The server who suggested it was warm and very professional. Everyone in our group loved her. As well as the food. Small plates, well-spaced and perfectly cooked. The food quality was amazing and presented well. Our favourite was the gnocchi. Then, there was the performance! Spon... read more

Cool New Lounge! – Finally - a true lounge in boston. Where can you go if you just want to hang out with friends, share a couple of bottles of wine, and graze on delicious food? nowhere until now, thanks to the opening of 28 degrees. the food is delicious, service is friendly, drinks are fantastic, and the wine list is unparalleled for diversity - where else can you find a sagrantino di montefalco or assyrtiko? i could see myself going in just for a pizza and fries at the bar on a monday or tuesday night or having a birthday... read more

Fun, hip, and chic – I must say I was amazed at the atmosphere of 28 surrounding me. With it's elegant white drapery, candles, and blue lighting illuminating the bar... I found the establishment both romantic and chic meeting fun and hip for any personality. The food is served in courses similar to tapas, and was both excellent and refreshing. The menu was not what I expected it to be, but there were varieties of dishes that could aide to more stringent eaters. For the quality of food, I didn't find it overpriced. The staff ... read more

Way over priced and awful service – I will say - the drinks are wonderful, the setting is trendy and fun, and the food is good. But it isn't so good that a tapas size portion should be $20. It is so overpriced for what is given. The waitstaff also try to push you to over order. As for the waitstaff, the front door people were confused about how to handle the crowds and our waitress was so rude that one of my friends actually asked half way through what we had done to offend her. And when the guy came out singing Frank Sinatr... read more

Boston meets New York – I went to 28 for dinner two weeks ago, Thursday night with a friend. I was early, and the Hostess greeted me warmly. After being seated, we were treated to an amazingly full and vibrant restaurant. The service staff was obviously very busy, but everyone with whom I dealt was collected, professional and incredibly warm. We felt very comfortable. The place was a little loud, but not so much that we couldn't hear each other and created an atmosphere that almost felt wonderfully intimate. We didn't have t... read more
