Maintenance May Give Up On You For the past 2+ months, I've been able to shower maybe once or twice a week if I'm lucky. The water temperature is typically only scalding hot, regardless of where the shower handle is placed. Other days it can be scalding hot or freezing cold with no in-between. At first, maintenance was responsive and notified me that the issue was resolved, but the water temperature would only be normal for the next few days at most. Anything but luxury I'm in complete agreement with the "Rentor Beware" review. If you are moving to the city and are used to a luxury apartment, this is anything but and I'd recommend you look elsewhere. Amenities are frequently closed (there's been construction for the last 8 months), elevators out of service, water shut offs, and there are a few staff that are unprofessional. Carpet, yellow walls, and dirty baseboards are also not something you'd see in a luxury apartment.
Rentor Beware!! 215 West is a great place to overpay for a mediocre to low quality experience. Common amenities are frequently dirty or broken... like moldy grills, crusty dog urine on the floor or a dishwasher which has come detached from the counter three times. It is not uncommon to come in to no one at the desk and unavailable to help with a question or concern about the building. Renter beware: not a luxury building but a luxury price tag.
