Very nice free Zoo, as it was snowing when I was there alot of the outside animals were not viewable (being from South Africa the animals I could not see I see are commonly found back home), but that was expected in minus temperatures. Enclosures and animals are well looked after, would have liked to spend more time at the Zoo but they close at 17:00. Got some amazing shots of the Polar Bears up close.
We enjoyed the zoo very much, and it is really hard to find fault in a free zoo. However, 5 stars means that it is perfect which it is not. There were many exhibits that we didn't see the animals (by the animals choice, which is good). We had a wonderful time and we will surely return in the future.
A very nice zoo....animals are well taken care of....the Great Apes Exhibit proves that...least 5 babys were learning from other siblings and mothers!!!
We absolutely love the Lincoln Park Zoo. We have been there a few times now and always have a great time. We will be back! 🦍
Awesome zoo experience. All the animals were out!! I felt like I was in the African safari. And I've been to South Africa. Great job to the guides even though we were not apart of tour they still explained the creatures and their habitat.
Took the kids to the zoo and have been there before and we love it. Free admission, they have carousel rides, snacks to buy and a cool store to buy stuff. Pretty good sized zoo with lots of animals and we love to go visit.

Great Zoo! Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. I didn’t know what to expect from a free zoo, but this place was pretty top notch. Animals seemed very well cared for, and habitats were all great! Only complaint is the parking lot. $35 was a bit steep for 4 hours, imo. But I guess that is the trade off for a free afternoon.
Great place to go and spend the day for just a few hours! Wonderful experience!
