I am shocked at the negative comments. I couldn't have gotten better anywhere else. Everyone from the beginning was helpful and delightful. And I received my progressive lens in less that 5 days. They were well versed with my insurance plan and took care of me professionally and quickly. I would recommend 20/20 Visioncare in Tigard to anyone wanting to get the best service. Perhaps some people were having a bad day but it certainly wasn't on 20/20's side.

HORRIBLE!! – Please avoid going here! I'm new to the area and this office was close to where I lived and I didn't take time to read any reviews. My husband and I both received an exam by Dr. Gerig. Dr. Gerig seemed knowledgeable about what we needed, however the office staff... where do I begin. I have been in this office 4 times (picking up glasses, contacts, dealing with staff, etc.) Everytime the staff was extremely rude and incompetent! They knew little to nothing about insurance. Avoid at all costs – After an encouraging initial experience -- the doc took plenty of time with me, and Leslie, the woman who helped me select frames, was very helpful -- everything went downhill fast. My glasses took five weeks to arrive. When they did arrive, the prescription was so bad that I couldn't use the new glasses. The main area of the lens actually made my vision worse, and the bifocal area was only in focus if I held the thing I was looking at 4-6 INCHES from my nose! Rude, Rude, Rude! – Leslie, at the front desk, is very helpful and friendly, however, she cannot begin to makeup for the extremely rude, incompetent Rhonda. Not only is she rude, she has no idea how to process the insurance information. My guess is she needs to be rude to hide behind the fact that she has no idea what she's doing. Unfortunately, because of one person, we will never go to 20/20 Eye Care Unprofessionals again.

Staff is incompentent – Staff is very rude and unprofessional. Was hung up on when trying to make an appointment. I would NOT recommend this place unless you like dealing with rude people. They do not know how to deal with insurance companies. I had to do their job for them.

A very positive experience – I've had a couple of bad experiences at the big chain eyeglass places at the mall. There's nothing worse than getting a pair of glasses and the prescription isn't quite right and it gives you terrible headaches, so I went to 20/20 on the advice of a friend. I have a hard time picking out frames. If I'm going to wear something on my face all day I want it to be just right. Great Tigard area Eye Professionals – I have been going to Dr. Gehrig for my eyecare for 14 years. He and his staff have always been great and provide excellant service. When I was having a rough time and had little insurance coverage, Dr. Gehrig helped me get a reasonably priced pair of glasses. The office carries a nice selection of frames and also a nice selection of sunglasses and sports sunglasses.

Had to do the receptionist's job for her – I couldn't tell you how well Dr. Gerig serves his patients because I couldn't even get an appointment. In trying to sort out the insurance information, the receptionist acted like I was from Mars because she didn't recognize the company (it's only been around for 71 years). Then, when I explained that the coverage was through my spouse (imagine that!) she haughtily asked "who is this appointment for, anyways."
